Jennifer Umali of Quezon City was declared as the grand winner of the competition, as well as also winning other awards such as Best in Costume and Miss Telegenic.
Karen Timbol of Mabalacat, Pampanga placed as first runner-up, while Marilou Malgapo of Meycauayan, Bulacan won as second runner-up.
Overview[]
Prejudging round[]
The prejudging round of the 21 grand finalists was held in Punta Baluarte Resort in Calatagan, Batangas. The prejudging round included a presentation portion, a talent portion, and a one-on-one interview portion.
The judges included then-product manager of Finale! Shampoo Marvin Ngo, fashion trendsetter Larie Silva, advertising and public relations practitioner Toots Tolentino, hair and beauty expert Benjie Alcantara, Eat Bulaga! host Vic Sotto, and veteran actress Charito Solis.
No decision was immediately announced at the end of the round. Announcement of the supposed-to-be Magic 8, which became the Magic 9, was made during the grand coronation day.
Grand coronation day[]
The grand coronation day special was held on Saturday, 5 May 1990 at Studio 2 of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Centre.
The 21 grand finalists was reduced to 20 as one grand finalist wasn't able to attend the grand coronation day due to illness. The supposed-to-be Magic 8 from the 21 grand finalists that will advance to the next round was increased by 1, becoming the Magic 9.
The judges of the pageant included world-renowned fashion designer Pitoy Moreno, Miss Asia Pacific 1989 Lorna Legaspi, legendary singer and songwriter Jose Mari Chan, television host Joe Quirino, actress and model Tweetie de Leon, fashion trendsetter Larie Silva, and hair and beauty expert Benjie Alcantara.
Guest performers were Jaime Garchitorena, Keempee de Leon, Janno Gibbs, and Ogie Alcasid.

- The title of the segment was inspired from the 1989 song by Filipino singer and songwriter Jose Mari Chan titled Beautiful Girl, which was very popular during the time the beauty pageant was first launched. During the beauty pageant's grand coronation day, Jose Mari Chan himself was invited as one of the judges of the competition.
