Bulagaan Olympics 2020 (originally Barangay Olympics 2020) is a game segment that challenges players to play a more competitive version of unique party games. It premiered on 22 February 2020 and replaced Prizes All the Way as the barangay-based segment.

Two teams—Blue and Yellow—each consisting of either two or three members, compete against each other to win the game and take home cash prizes and gift packs from the segment's sponsors. Players of each team take turns to earn points within a time limit. The team with the most points wins the game.

Only one game was featured on the segment called "face lifting". It involves players wearing pantyhose over their heads and blowing ping-pong balls off a glass bottle. Each ball blown off is worth one point.

Because of the lockdown placed on Metro Manila as a result of the worsening COVID-19 pandemic, all barangay-based segments of Eat Bulaga! have been suspended. Therefore, Barangay Olympics 2020 was converted into a studio segment on 13 March 2020 under a new title Bulagaan Olympics 2020. The new studio-based segment invited celebrities and their friends to play the same game.

Overview Edit

Gameplay Edit

Face lifting (22 February 2020–March 2020) Edit

Several stockings are tied to a fixed horizontal bar. A couple of feet away from the fixture are two differently colored glass bottles and a set of ping-pong balls on top of a table. Prior to the start of the game, the players must already wear the stockings over their heads.

The game begins and one player from each team must run towards the table. Each player must place a ping-pong ball on top of their designated glass bottle and subsequently blow it off. The extent of the pantyhose's elasticity and length tightly presses the players' faces, making it difficult for them to blow a strong gust of air. Each ball blown off earns the team one point. A player must earn 3 points in order for him/her to tag the next teammate and continue. The players of each team take turns within 60 seconds. The team with the most points wins the game.

Transition to Bulagaan Olympics 2020 Edit

After Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the lockdown of Metro Manila, Eat Bulaga! decided to halt its barangay appearances beginning on 13 March 2020 in order to ensure the safety of its staff from the rapid community spread of the coronavirus. Barangay Olympics 2020 was immediately converted into a studio-based segment under the new title Bulagaan Olympics 2020. The new segment maintained the same title card design. It also kept the "face lifting" game but the players were now celebrities and their friends.

The segment ended a week later after Eat Bulaga! and other Philippine television programs were forced off the air under the community quarantine.
