"Ganyan Kita Kamahal" is the Holy Wednesday episode of the 2006 edition of the annual drama anthology Eat Bulaga's Lenten Special. It aired on 12 April 2006 with a total runtime of 73 minutes.
Each year, the anthology replaces the noontime show's regular programming in observance of the solemnity of Holy Week. Standalone episodes of short dramas are shown from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday, with each episode having different characters, story, and director.
It is topbilled by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. Supporting cast includes Armida Siguion-Reyna, Jimmy Santos, Paolo Ballesteros, Ciara Sotto, Jose Manalo, and Sugar Mercado, Bing Loyzaga, Paul Salas, Gabriel Roxas, and JM Reyes.
The episode is directed by Bibeth Orteza.
Nick (Vic Sotto) sits beside the bed of her mother Nieves (Armida Siguion-Reyna) who is recovering from her second stroke. Feeling weak and helpless, she asks Nick to summon his two grown-up brothers to come back and visit them in their old home.
Lito (Tito Sotto) and his daughter arrive at the house and wonders why they have been summoned by their mother. He is astounded at the return of their rebellious brother Sonny (Joey de Leon) whom they have not seen for years. Intrigued by the abrupt family reunion, Lito demands her mother to reveal the real reason of their assembly. Nieves confesses that she wants to be euthanized in order to ultimately end her suffering, and she wants her children to assist with her suicide. After seeing their mother's suffering firsthand, Nick has already agreed to the plan. Lito is angered by their mother's crazy plan to end her life as well as his brother's agreement with it. Meanwhile, Sonny also refuses to help out with the plan. His refusal is not out of concern, but out of revenge. He wishes her mother to live longer so her suffering could continue. Lito and Sonny walk out.
In occasional flashbacks, Nieves is revealed to have been a strict and unaffectionate mother to her three children. Her tough love and insensitivity back then continue to haunt her children, especially Sonny who rebels against her mother to this day.
With unexpected help from the people around the house, the three children came to realize the remorse of their mother. Nieves' tough love was the result of the early death of her husband, which forced her to care for the children alone. She apologizes to her children and lets them know that she is proud of them.
After their awakening, Lito and Sonny change their mind about their mother's final wish to die. They agree to partake in the plan to respect her wish as a final act of love. Seeing her children's change of hearts, Nieves finally reveals to her children that her wish to be euthanized is fake, and that she only used it as a reason to see her children again. Lito, Nick, and Sonny are relieved to see their mother choose to live.
Months later, Nieves succumbs to her third and final stroke. Lito, Nick, and Sonny mourn together by reading the same storybook that she read for them after the death of their father.
