"Pangako ng Pag-Ibig" is the first Holy Tuesday episode of the 2015 edition of the annual drama anthology Eat Bulaga's Lenten Special. It precedes the episode "Pinagpalang Ama" in the Tuesday lineup. The episode aired on 31 March 2015.

Each year, the anthology replaces the noontime show's regular programming in observance of the solemnity of Holy Week. Standalone episodes of short dramas are shown from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday, with each episode having different characters, story, and director.

It is topbilled by Pauleen Luna and Rocco Nacino. Supporting cast includes Jaclyn Jose, Anjo Yllana, and Luis Alandy.

The episode is directed by Jose Javier Reyes.

Plot[]

Rose (Pauleen Luna) is a bank teller who has kept his relationship with a lowly mechanic, Michael (Rocco Nacino), a secret from his friends and family for over one year. She is afraid of his mother, Marissa (Jaclyn Jose), who has high expectations for her only daughter. However, the couple is forced to reveal the truth to her mother when the result of Rose's pregnancy test comes out positive. Infuriated by the revelation, Marissa forbids her daughter from seeing Michael again. Rose runs away from her mother's home and elopes with Michael.

Unfortunately, Michael suffers serious burns on his face after a freak accident while working on a vehicle. Although Michael recovers, his face is scarred by the burns, which horrifies him. He ends up in a depressed state and pushes Rose away. He refuses to go out of the house and retreats to the bedroom to lock himself away.

Will love remain and stay the same in sickness and in health, `till death do them part?
