"Tahanan" is the Holy Wednesday episode of the 2005 edition of the annual drama anthology Eat Bulaga's Lenten Special. The episode aired on 23 March 2005 with a total runtime of 68 minutes.
Each year, the anthology replaces the noontime show's regular programming in observance of the solemnity of Holy Week. Standalone episodes of short dramas are shown from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday, with each episode having different characters, story, and director.
It is topbilled by Joey de Leon and Keempee de Leon. Supporting cast includes Allan K, Jose Manalo, BJ Forbes, Michael V, Pen Medina, and Daniel Fernando.
The episode is directed by Gina Alajar.
Jack (Keempee de Leon) returns to his father's house and is warmly welcomed by his loving father Peping (Joey de Leon). He is surprised to see several strangers living in the house: a former thief, a drunkard, a gay man, and an autistic child. Peping tells his son of his newfound personal commitment to take in and help less fortunate people. Jack is displeased and begins to treat the guests unfairly.
Jack receives a phone call which reveals his true motive of coming home. He desperately needs money to pay off his serious gambling debt. After being threatened by his gambling partner, Jack confronts his father about his need for money, but lies about the true reason. Peping is not surprised by his son's request, yet he still unhesitatingly agrees to provide him the money. However, their conversation is interrupted by a frantic Girlie who informs them that the autistic man, Dondi (Michael V), has gone missing. They go out to look for him.
Peping discovers Dondi sitting on the side of the street with a blind child. He determines that the child is lost and decides to temporarily take him home, which further annoys Jack who complains to his father about his excessive generosity to disabled strangers.
Jack instantly leaves the house the moment he receives the money. He meets up with his gambling partner who easily persuades him to gamble again, putting Jack in an even greater amount of debt. Desperate once again, Jack returns home to target his inheritance money. Afraid that his father will eventually split the money with the other house guests, he devises a plan to get them out of the house. Jack makes his father choose between him and the house guests in hopes that his father will kick them out of the house himself. Peping ignores his son.
Jack sabotages and threatens each house guest to force them to leave the house. After Jack goes too far by pointing a knife at Dondi, the guests tries to bid farewell to Peping. Realizing his son's corruption, Peping confronts his son. He chooses the house guests and kicks his son out of the house. Jack begins to regret his wrongdoings, but his father's decision is final.
